Pune: The Maharashtra NGO Development Association (MNDA) has announced that it will organize a state-level convention on Tuesday, August 19, at Ganesh Kala Krida Manch, Swargate, Pune.
The day-long event, scheduled from 9 am to 5 pm, will bring together hundreds of non-governmental organizations from across Maharashtra to discuss social development priorities and collaborative opportunities.
Focus on Social Issues and NGO Collaboration
Dr Yuvraj Yedure, State President of the Maharashtra NGO Development Association, said the convention will focus on critical social issues, developmental challenges, and opportunities for NGOs to partner with government programmes and corporate CSR initiatives.

The event aims to strengthen NGO engagement in implementing welfare schemes and building innovative solutions for community development.
Prominent Leaders and Officials to Participate
The convention will be chaired by Popatrao Pawar, Chairperson of the Adarsh Gram Yojana. Key dignitaries expected include Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, Medical Education Minister Hasan Mushrif, Industries Minister Uday Samant, Minister of State for Industries Indranil Naik, former Minister of State for Home Bala Nandgaonkar, and MLA Rohit Pawar.
Resolutions on NGO Rights and Technology Adoption
According to Dr Yedure, the Maharashtra NGO Development Association convention will adopt resolutions on long-pending social concerns, strengthening NGO rights, and the scope of their role in development.
It will also highlight the importance of adopting new technologies to enhance impact in the social sector. A proposal for forming a state-level apex body to ensure representation of NGOs in policymaking will also be discussed.

Expert Guidance and Interactive Sessions
Sessions will be led by senior officials and experts, including Charity Commissioner Amogh Kaloti, Divisional Income Tax Officer Nitin Waghmode, CSR advisor Prashant More from the Maha CSR Development Association, Harshad Barge (Tender Guru), and Dr Anjali Bapat from the Heartfulness Institute.
Other notable participants include Prof Dr Bapusaheb Adsul (Ministry Coordination Committee), Yogesh Patil (MIT National Sarpanch Parliament), Sanjay Bhosale (Maharashtra Environmental Coordination Committee), and entrepreneur Vikram Ugle.
Maharashtra NGO Development Association Calls for NGO Participation
The committee has appealed to NGOs across Maharashtra to attend the convention in large numbers. “This convention of the Maharashtra NGO Development Association will provide a vital platform for strategy building, knowledge sharing, and stronger engagement with government schemes and CSR opportunities,” said Dr. Yedure.
